4. Cameron Green

Cameron Green has been one of the exciting prospects in Australian cricketing circles. Test cricket has been his happy hunting ground, where he has scored 806 runs in 18 matches and bagged 23 wickets for his side. He has also displayed his all-round might in the shortest format, smashing 139 runs at an astonishing strike rate of 173.75. and picking up five scalps at an economy of 8.90.

Mumbai Indians liked what they saw in Green and went all guns blazing to acquire him at the IPL 2023 auction. MI invested a staggering sum of INR 17.5 crore to draft the ace all-rounder into their side. However, there is a cloud hovering over his availability for the upcoming season.

During the Boxing Day Test of the ongoing three-match Test series against South Africa, Green suffered a broken index finger on his right hand as he failed to tackle the vicious delivery of Anrich Nortje. Though he battled through the pain and scored a half-century, he was ruled out of the SCG Test.

Green has recently undergone surgery on the affected area and it is not certain whether he will be able to achieve full fitness by the start of IPL 2023. It has also been reported that he will not bowl till April 13 as a part of his workload management.
