5 players who might not find a place in India's 2023 World Cup squad
While some players are out due to injury concerns, some have failed to put up remarkable performances.
3. Deepak Chahar
After a protracted injury, Deepak Chahar made a comeback in the IPL 2023. He didn't impress anyone with his bowling, though. Additionally, he recently sustained a hamstring injury during the game against MI, which might eliminate him from consideration for the World Cup.
Team India's fast-bowling all-rounders for the World Cup will likely be Hardik Pandya and Shardul Thakur. Shardul Thakur's explosive performance against RCB propelled him ahead of Deepak Chahar, and Hardik Pandya's spot in the World Cup squad is all but locked up. Even Ravi Shastri jokingly said that Chahar has become a "permanent resident of NCA.” Considering that, it is not difficult to imagine that he might not fit in.
Deepak Chahar, the pace spearhead for Chennai Super Kings, may not play in their upcoming IPL games as his left hamstring ailment appears to have returned. With his alert performance and potential injury issues, Deepak might lose out on the chance to play in the World Cup. Thus he will remain uncertain in the mega event.
