1. Erin Burns
Erin Burns is a renowned name in Australian domestic cricket. The 29-year-old is an experienced name in the Women’s Big Bash League. With her fierce batting attitude and disciplined off-break bowling, she has helped Hobart Hurricanes and Sydney Sixers win matches.
Looking at these records, RCB reserved her services for the maiden WPL season. At the auction in Mumbai, the franchise purchased Burns for her base price of INR 30 lakh.
Despite having vast league experience from WBBL and The Hundred League, Burns might not become a part of RCB’s playing XI at the mega cricketing event. The 34-year-old will get stiff competition from South Africa’s Dane van Niekerk who could be seen as one of the overseas mainstays for the franchise. Like Burns, she is also a batting all-rounder, and her international record makes her bankable for the franchise.
