5. Only player to win the Man of the Player award on both Test and ODI debut
Mustafizur Rahman has been one of the finest pace bowlers to feature for the Bangladesh team. His slower balls, off-cutters and yorkers have been successful in containing the batters and dismissing them in quick succession.
It was in June 2015 when Rahman made his ODI debut against India. The left-arm pacer finished with figures of 5/50, with Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina being his key victims. The sensational spell helped Bangladesh to win the contest by 79 runs and Mustafizur was awarded the Player of the Match award for his performance.
In the following month, he played his debut Test match against South Africa and returned with figures of 4/37, which included the dismissals of Hashim Amla and Quinton de Kock. The match ended in a draw, and the pacer earned the Player of the Match award,. The feat to secure awards in debut matches of both formats is nearly unbreakable for any player.
