1. Sachin Tendulkar's 100th hundred
Sachin Tendulkar is one of the greatest cricketers the game has seen. The Mumbai-born is the most prolific run-getter of all time, having amassed an insane tally of 34357 runs in 664 international matches. During Sachin’s playing days which saw him dismantle bowling attacks for fun, he broke heaps of records and also created many.
In Asia Cup 2012, when India clashed against Bangladesh, Sachin put up an exhibition of his elegant stroke play and notched up a brilliant knock of 114 runs. The century was not just another century but a historic one. As the legendary cricketer ran a single on the fourth ball of the 44th over, he became the only batter to score 100 centuries in international cricket.
Sachin’s incredible innings consisted of 12 fours and a maximum. Riding on his history-making ton, India posted 289 runs in 50 overs. However, the Bangladesh batters were up for the challenge and chased the total with four balls to spare. Tamim Iqbal (70 runs off 99 balls) was the top scorer for the Bangla Tigers.
