2. Shaik Rasheed
Shaik Rasheed was India’s rock at the top of the order at the marquee tournament in the West Indies. The Guntur-born steadied the ship when the team was in trouble and build partnerships to ensure Dhull & co. reach a good total. He held the innings together and allowed stroke makers around him to play with freedom.
Rasheed featured in four games at the U19 World Cup and amassed 201 runs at an average of 50.25. This includes a vital half-century at the summit clash against Prest & co. The 18-year-old has shown his batting might at the domestic circuit as well.
Rasheed has played two first-class games for Andhra and scored 142 runs at an average of 35.50. Also, he did a decent job in the recently culminated SMAT 2022 scoring 56 runs in three games which comprises a match-winning knock of 37* runs off 27 balls against Nagaland.
The 18-year-old is a run-bank with the bat and has the versatility to play both at the top order and middle order. Therefore, several franchises might look to add the elegant batter to their disposal.
