2. Axar Patel - IN, Deepak Hooda - OUT
Team India included Deepak Hooda to strengthen their batting line-up after Jadeja got ruled out of Asia Cup. He also provides a sixth bowling option with his off-spin. But surprisingly, Rohit didn't use him at all in the last two matches despite one of his regular five bowlers having an off day in both games.
Moreover, Hooda batted down the order at number seven against Sri Lanka and Pakistan. He is clearly batting out of position having scored a stunning ton against Ireland at number three. It is only better for India to include Axar Patel who is capable of batting at seven and providing four overs of left-arm spin bowling as well.
Axar is like-for-like replacement for Jadeja too and though he is not a brilliant batter like the latter, the left-hander is certainly no mug with the bat. His inclusion will solve some issues related to bowling as well.
