3. Jasprit Bumrah
Jasprit Bumrah had missed the last Asia Cup 2022 due to injury, and after 11 months of proper rehab, the Gujarat pacer made his India return in recent Ireland T20Is.
However, the ODI game is different, and while it remains to be seen how much Bumrah’s body is affected by bowling ten overs in humidity and heat in Sri Lanka, his presence has boosted India’s chances and hopes against Pakistan.
Bumrah will be India’s leading strike bowler in the Asia Cup 2023. He will be looking to take wickets in the powerplay and be expected to bowl well in the death overs.
