With this sensational average, Tendulkar is only behind Sri Lanka’s former opener, Sanath Jayasuriya, whose average is 53.04.

However, in the upcoming Asia Cup, Rohit Sharma could surpass Tendulkar as the former holds the batting average of 46.56 in the tournament.
