However, the match got washed out due to rain but Pakistan supporters enjoyed their team’s performance.</p>
<p>The Men in Green were expected to carry their confidence in the Super Four stage and qualify easily for the final. However, that didn’t happen as Babar and his men were outclassed by Team India and Sri Lanka which led to their exit from the tournament. Against India, they got a 228-run loss which is their largest ODI defeat at the hands of the Men in Blue (by runs).</p>

<p>Ahead of this year’s Asia Cup, Shakib Al Hasan became the skipper of Bangladesh’s ODI team. Under the veteran all-rounder, expectations were high from the Bangla team but its campaign concluded in the Super Four stage as it failed to be consistent in the competition.</p>
<p>Bangladesh kicked off their campaign with a five-wicket loss against co-hosts Sri Lanka in Kandy. Following that defeat, they made a solid comeback against Afghanistan in Lahore. The two-time Asia Cup runners-up vanquished the Afghan team by 89 runs in the do-or-die match and Mehidy Hasan received the Player of the Match award for his unbeaten 112-run knock off 119 deliveries.</p>
<p>The scintillating victory pushed Bangladesh to the Super Four round but Shakib and Co. disappointed their team’s fans, getting ruled out of the competition with their losses against Pakistan and Sri Lanka. In their final match, they registered a close six-run win over India and ended their tournament on a positive note.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.crictracker.com/cricket-news/asia-cup-2023-top-10-memes-from-india-vs-sri-lanka-final/" title="Sri Lanka" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Sri Lanka</strong></a> landed as the underdogs in the tournament as their side lacked experience in front of India and Pakistan. However, the co-hosts emerged as a dangerous side in this competition with their diligence and perseverance. Under their captain Dasun Shanaka, the Sri Lanka team gave stiff competition to India and Pakistan.</p>
<p>The six-time Asia Cup champions qualified for the Super Four stage after beating Bangladesh and Afghanistan in the group round. In the Super Four round, they beat Bangladesh and Pakistan to advance to the final of the tournament. Against Shakib Al Hasan’s Bangladesh, they emerged triumphant by 21 runs.</p>
<p>Their impressive performance came against India in Colombo. Although they faced a 41-run loss against the Men in Blue, their positive attitude in the game was notable. The remarkable performance against India filled Sri Lanka with confidence. Against the hosts Pakistan, Shanaka and his boys were tasked to chase 252 runs in 42 overs.</p>
<p>Following the challenging total, Sri Lanka's batters were full of energy which helped them pull off the chase on the last delivery of the game. However, Sri Lanka’s batting completely collapsed in the decider match against India which became the cause of their humiliating 10-wicket defeat. In front of Mohammed Siraj’s sensational pace, Shanka and his boys surrendered on 50 which shattered the confidence of Sri Lanka bowlers as well.</p>

In the final, they bowled out Sri Lanka on a mere 50, riding on <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/twitter-reactions-cricket/fans-bow-down-to-mohammed-siraj-for-demolishing-sri-lanka-in-asia-cup-2023-final/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Mohammed Siraj</strong></a>’s extraordinary bowling performance (6/21 in seven overs). After the washout match, Indian bowlers failed to perform up to the mark against Nepal. After the shaky performance in the group stage, India emerged as a dominant team in the Super Four.</p>
<p>In the high-octane match against Pakistan, they registered an emphatic 228-run win while they shattered the hearts of Sri Lankan fans in the Super Four as well, handing the six-time Asia Cup champions a 41-run defeat. Against Bangladesh, they struggled with both bat and ball but on the enormous day, they delivered their best and emerged as a formidable force with their one-sided 10-wicket triumph. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
