2. KS Bharat
Even though Rishabh Pant is currently out of form in limited-overs cricket, the wicket-keeper batter remains to be India’s number-one choice in red-ball cricket and that unfortunately keeps KS Bharat out of India’s playing XI.
Now, despite being a part of the Indian team for a long time, the 29-year-old is yet to make his international debut. In 83 first-class games so far, Bharat scored 4502 runs, at an average of 37.83. In the second unofficial Test against Bangladesh A, the Vishakapatnam-born cricketer scored 77 runs and was brilliant behind the stumps but even so, will have to wait to make his debut for India.
Pant, on the other hand, is one of the first names on the team sheet. He changed India’s approach in the middle, after registering brilliant centuries against Australia and England, among many others. The 25-year-old cricketer played 31 Test matches so far, scoring 2123 runs at an average of 43.32.
