4. Shikhar Dhawan
When India locked horns with Bangladesh for a multi-series in 2015, Shikhar Dhawan demolished the opposition bowling attack in both ODIs and the longest format. In the first innings of the Test, he smashed 173 runs off 195 deliveries to help the Men in Blue post 462 runs on the board. In the 50-overs leg, the southpaw scored 158 runs in three games at a strike rate of 92.39.
Over seven years post the 2015 Bangladesh tour, Dhawan is still a regular feature in the Indian ODI set-up but has been sidelined from the Test team since September 2018. The veteran batter has made 164 appearances for the Men in Blue in the 50-overs format and notched up 6775 runs at an average of 44.86.
The Delhi-born has been quite prolific with the bat this calendar year and scored 670 runs in 19 ODIs at an average of 39.41. Given the ace batter’s recent form and also his track record in Bangladesh, another Dhawan show is on the cards in the upcoming series.
