3. Andrew Tye for Perth Scorchers vs Sydney Sixers (2017-18)

After grabbing a hat-trick for Perth Scorchers in the 2016-17 season of the league, Andrew Tye created a record in 2017-18 too. Playing against Sydney Sixers, in the fifth game of the league at the SCG, Andrew Tye took another hat-trick and became the only bowler to bag two hat-tricks in the history of the league.

In the contest, skipper of the Scorchers won the toss and chose to field first. From the start, the Scorchers dominated the game due to amazing displays from their bowlers. With the joint efforts of Mitchell Johnson, Jhye Richardson, David Willey, and Andrew Tye, Perth controlled the match. However, at the end of the Sixers’ innings, Tye became the most impactful bowler for the team with four wickets.

Taking the scalps of Sean Abbott, Steve O’Keefe, and Daniel Sams on three back-to-back balls, he ended the Sixers' innings for 132 in 18.4 overs and also accomplished becoming the bowler with the most hat-tricks in the tournament. At the end of the game, his valuable spell helped Scorchers register a convincing victory by six wickets.
