8. Cameron Boyce for Melbourne Renegades vs Sydney Thunder (2021-22)

In the 2021-22 edition of the BBL, fans witnessed a hat-trick of the season from Cameron Boyce. At the MCG, in the 55th game of the competition, Melbourne Renegades skipper Aaron Finch opted to bowl first after winning the toss. Batting first, Thunder openers Alex Hales and Usman Khwaja looked in great touch and formed a solid partnership of 80 runs in just 6.5 overs.

On the last delivery of the seventh over, Cameron Boyce provided a breakthrough to the Renegades as he sent Hales back to the pavilion at his score of 44 (22 balls). Boyce returned to bowl the ninth over of the game and destroyed the batting line-up of the Thunder. Picking up the wickets of Jason Sangha, Alex Ross, and Daniel Sams in back-to-back deliveries, Boyce got a hat-trick and brought his team back into the game.

However, at the end of the first innings, Thunder racked up 170/8 on the board and took the game away by one run in a nail-biting encounter. But Boyce, who did exceptionally well with the ball by delivering a mind-boggling spell of 4-0-21-5, received the Player of the Match award.
