There have been several players who have been consistently putting up outstanding performances in the 50-over format over the years.

11. Naseem Shah - {PAK}

20-year-old Naseem Shah is the future of Pakistan’s pace attack. In August 2022, he made his ODI debut against the Netherlands. Playing his maiden match, Naseem put up an impressive show with the ball, picking up a three-wicket haul against the hosts. In the tournament against the Dutch team, he ended up as the highest wicket-taker with 10 wickets in three matches at an economy of 4.26.

In 2023, Pakistan hosted New Zealand for three ODIs after the Test series ended up in a stalemate. Playing the first ODI in Karachi, Naseem took a fifer in his side’s comfortable six-wicket victory against the Black Caps. In the three-match series at home, Naseem became the leading wicket-taker with eight scalps in two matches.

The Kiwi team toured Pakistan again in April and this time, the Men in Green handed the visitors a 4-1 defeatin five-match ODI series. In this one-sided series triumph, Naseem also played an important role with the ball, claiming five wickets in three games at a thrifty economy of 4.26.
