The star-studded MI lineup produced a few pivotal individual performances that helped MI win the inaugural WPL championship. The competition that will alter the course of women's cricket offered everything a fan might have desired.</p>
<p>Facilitating Indian women's performances was one of the main goals in starting the Women's Premier League. Although we did witness some impressive individual performances by Indian ladies, the foreign women's overall performance throughout the event left a lasting impact. Though the results might not have met the expectations of the BCCI and supporters, women's cricket is off to a good start.</p>

Lanning had an amazing average of 49.28 and scored 345 runs in just 9 innings to finish as the tournament's top run scorer. Despite only hitting two fifty, the charismatic skipper was one of the most reliable players, scoring well seven times out of nine.</p>
