In the ODI World Cup 2023, batters are taking advantage of flat tracks and having a great time. Bowlers aren’t getting much assistance from the pitches in this tournament but some extraordinary names utilised their talent and created some superb moments for themselves and their teams in the challenging conditions.
Unlike speedsters, spinners have received help from surfaces which has got them some success against batters. The third week winded up with Australia’s sensational victory against the Netherlands in Delhi. Following the action in the seven days, it’s essential to rate the performances put up by all bowling units in the third week of the competition.

10. Bangladesh- 4/10
Bangladesh have put up a disastrous performance in this World Cup. The Shakib Al Hasan-led side hasn’t won any match after their six-wicket win against Afghanistan in their maiden game. In week three, they lost to two big sides India and South Africa due to their poor show in all departments of the game.
In the big match against India in Pune, the Bangla side were handed a seven-wicket defeat. Against India’s quality batting unit, Bangladesh bowlers looked completely out of colour and failed to defend 256 runs. Mehidy Hasan Miraz only put up some fight against the hosts, clinching the scalps of Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer.
Bangladesh next faced South Africa at the Wankhede Stadium and faced a 149-run loss. Bowling first against the Proteas, the Bangla bowlers leaked 382 runs in 50 overs. All their bowlers failed to stop South Africa batters from going ballistic at the iconic ground.
