Legends League 2024 Auction: 5 Most Expensive Players

The Legends League Cricket will enter its third edition with the first game scheduled to commence on September 20 at the Barkatullah Khan Stadium in Jodhpur. A total of six teams will vie for the trophy and 97 players have been picked across the six franchises during the August 29 auction. With 97 players making the cut, the top five expensive buys have lot riding on them going into the tournament

The six teams to enter the fray are India Capitals, Manipal Tigers, Konark Suryas Odisha, Southern Superstars, Urbanrisers Hyderabad, and Gujarat Giants. The league is widely known to feature retired cricketers across the globe. Among several cricketers, Shikhar Dhawan, who retired recently will debut in the tournament. Dinesh Karthik will be another star attraction in the league.

5. Dhawal Kulkarni – 50 Lakh

Dhawal Kulkarni led Mumbai to their latest Ranji Trophy title and announced his retirement. The pacer enticed India Capitals as they splurged INR 50 Lakh to take his services. Moreover, the 35-year-old also featured for India Champions in the World Championship of Legends in July. He contributed to the title win with eight wickets in six games.
