Five players to watch out for during SA20 inaugural edition
These players delivered some impactful displays to their teams in T20 games this year.
4. Sam Curran (MI Cape Town)
Sam Curran had an amazing World Cup last month as he became the Player of the Tournament clinching 13 wickets in six games at a spectacular economy of 6.52. After making a huge contribution to his team’s World Cup victory, he will be seen in action almost after two months, appearing in the League for MI Cape Town.
This year, in August, the English all-rounder was signed by the franchise along with Kagiso Rabada, Dewald Brevis, Rashid Khan and Liam Livingstone. Playing for the team, his responsibility will be to vitalise the team with his all-round skills. The 24-year-old was in amazing form with the ball in the marquee event and in this tournament too, he will look to wreak havoc on batters on South African pitches which are known for favouring fast bowlers.
Considering his recent figures and bowling capability, it could be speculated that he might demolish the batting unit of other teams on the rapid South African tracks. Talking about his batting, batting at the lower order, he is able to chip in, delivering some valuable runs to his team.
