Five players to watch out for during SA20 inaugural edition
These players delivered some impactful displays to their teams in T20 games this year.
2. Jos Buttler (Paarl Royals)
This year, England Cricket Board trusted Jos Buttler to lead the England Cricket Team in white-ball cricket after Eoin Morgan’s retirement. Last month, the 32-year-old delivered positive results to the team, winning the T20 World Cup title. With the bat, he notched up 225 runs in six games, at a strike rate of 144.23.
In the crucial games against India and Pakistan in the knockout round, he led from the front with his powerful knocks. The swashbuckling wicket-keeper batter will also participate in the upcoming SA20 League playing for Paarl Royals. However, he won’t feature in the team as a skipper but as a batter, his role will be significant.
Earlier, this year, he looked fantastic for Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League 2022, with 863 runs in 17 matches, at a strike rate of 149.05. Noting his outings in the cash-rich league, he got signed for Paarl Royals too for the SA20 League. With David Miller, Eoin Morgan, and Jason Roy, the team will look for some courageous batting displays from the English star player to be successful in the inaugural edition.
