Riaz Hassan is a right-handed top-order batter who hails from Nangarhar in Afghanistan. He made his ODI debut for Afghanistan against the Netherlands in January 2022, at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium, in Doha. Thus far, he has scored 120 runs for the Afghans in his five ODI appearances.

During this short period of time, the youngster came up with his best score of 50 runs. Notably, Hassan last played an ODI for Afghanistan against the neighbours, Pakistan. In this game, Riaz Hasaan did get some start in his innings but failed to convert it into a big knock. However, commendably enough, while playing away from home in Sri Lanka's Colombo, the batter ended up scoring 34 runs for his side.
