India’s white-ball series against New Zealand will be remembered for Shubman Gill’s masterclass throughout the course of the tournament. After a terrific performance in the ODI series, the young opener smashed a cracking century in the third T20I at Ahmedabad and with that, the 23-year-old became the fifth Indian to score a century in all three formats of the game.

Suresh Raina was the first cricketer to do it, who was followed by Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli and now Shubman Gill. His 123* off 63 deliveries is also the highest score by an Indian in the history of T20I cricket. Previously, Virat Kohli held the record after scoring 122 off 61 deliveries against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup 2022.

Coming back to Gill, the opener also became the youngest cricketer to score a T20I century for India. Ishan Kishan previously held the record but Gill toppled him and registered another record to his name.
