IND vs NZ: Five players to watch out for in T20I series
India will lock horns with New Zealand for a white-ball series, starting January 18.
2. Prithvi Shaw
Prithvi Shaw is known for his fearless brand of cricket and has put top-quality bowling attacks under the pump with his marauding bat in the Indian Premier League. The opening batter has featured in 63 IPL games and hammered 1588 runs at a strike rate of 147.75.
Shaw has been in a pristine touch of late and has lighted the Indian domestic circuit with his spectacular performances. In the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2022, he smashed 332 runs in 10 matches at a stunning strike rate of 181.42. Then again in the recently concluded 2022-23 Ranji Trophy game against Assam, he took the opposition to the cleaners and plundered a record 379 runs off 383 balls.
Based on his eye-popping displays, Shaw has made a comeback to the Indian set-up and will feature in the T20I series against New Zealand. The 23-year-old would like to make the opportunity count and put up a show with the bat.
