1. Glenn Phillips
Glenn Phillips has been an integral part of the New Zealand white-ball set-up. Slotting in at the middle-order, the 26-year-old has taken the attack to the opposition right from the get-go and changed the course of the game in the favour of his side. He has featured in 56 T20Is and scored 1361 runs at a strike rate of 148.25.
Phillips was simply phenomenal in the last calendar year in the T20I arena. He featured in 21 T20Is and scored 716 runs at a superb strike rate of 156.33. The swashbuckling batter was New Zealand’s X-factor at the T20 World Cup 2022 and was instrumental in their run to the semi-final. He smashed 201 runs in five matches at the T20 extravaganza at an incredible strike rate of 163.86.
The Kiwi batter carried on his good work and played a blistering knock of 63* runs off 42 balls in the final game of the three-match ODI series to take his side across the line. Given the rich vein of form Phillips is in, it would not be a surprise if he makes the upcoming T20I series against India his own.
