2. Mukesh Kumar

Mukesh Kumar has been a bankable name in the Indian domestic circuit. The 29-year-old played 34 first-class matches and picked up 130 wickets at an average of 21.10. Mukesh was quite exceptional in the 2021-22 season of the Ranji Trophy. He featured in five matches for Bengal and bagged 20 wickets. The right-arm pacer showed his class in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022 too and picked up nine wickets in six games at an economy of 4.91.

Based on his outstanding bowling displays, Mukesh was selected for the ODI series against South Africa in October and then for the recently culminated T20I series against Sri Lanka. But he is yet to get an opportunity to show his skills on the big stage.

Mukesh has been included in the upcoming T20I series against the Kiwis. However, in the presence of ace pacers such as Arshdeep Singh, Umran Malik, and Shivam Mavi, it will again be difficult for him to make it to the starting XI. Thus, the Bengal seamer might have to wait a bit longer to make his India debut.
