2. Harshal Patel
Harshal Patel has made a name for himself for his sensational death-bowling prowess and has been a match-winner for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League. In the last two seasons, he has bagged 51 wickets in 30 matches at an economy under eight.
India drafted Harshal into their T20I side to partner Jasprit Bumrah at the death. However, he has not been able to thrive at the international arena. Though the ace pacer has taken 27 wickets in 24 T20Is, he has conceded runs at an economy of 9.13.
Further, he had a horror show with the ball since his comeback to the international fold after recovering from a rib injury. The 32-year-old has played seven T20Is since September and has managed only four wickets, giving away runs at an alarming rate of 10.43. Harshal needs to get his act together soon or else the team management will move past him. Thus, he would need to be at his best in the T20I series against Shanaka & co.
