1. Sanju Samson

Sanju Samson is one of the top-drawer batters in the Indian cricketing circles. The 28-year-old has been phenomenal in the lucrative T20 tournament and dismantled top-quality bowling attacks with his swashbuckling stroke play. He has featured in 138 games and amassed 3526 runs at a strike rate of 135.72. The ace batter has displayed his batting might in the international arena as well and hammered 296 runs in 16 T20Is at a strike rate of 135.15.

Samson was simply stunning last year. He has made ten appearances for India in the 50-over format and scored 284 runs at a strike rate of 105.57. In the T20Is, he has smashed 179 runs in six matches at a superb strike rate of 158.40.

Though the wicketkeeper-batter has done incredibly well for India, he has not featured regularly in the team. In the T20Is, Samson is behind Shreyas Iyer and Deepak Hooda for a slot in the middle order. Therefore, he will need to carry on the good work to make his case stronger. With Iyer not a part of the upcoming T20I series against Sri Lanka, Samson will need to make the opportunity count.
