India’s Best Playing XI for Champions Trophy 2025
CricTracker takes a look at India's potential playing XI in the forthcoming Champions Trophy 2025.
Middle Order: Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (WK)
Virat Kohli was the highest run-scorer in the ODI World Cup 2023. He has not been in great nick in the Test arena, but his credentials in the 50-over format are exceptional. If Kohli is in form, it will stand India in good stead. Meanwhile, Shreyas Iyer also favours the ODI format and had a sensational time in the World Cup in 2023. This is going to be his first appearance in the Champions Trophy. Shreyas' performance at No. 4 is going to be a key factor.
KL Rahul is expected to don the wicketkeeping gloves, as Pant will have to wait for his opportunity. The Karnataka cricketer has an excellent record in ODI cricket at the No. 5 position. Rahul has a staggering average of 57.22 from 30 innings at the No. 5 slot.
