9. Mohammed Siraj
Mohammed Siraj will be seen pairing up with Mohammed Shami to lead India’s pace attack in the 2023 World Cup. In case, Jasprit Bumrah fails to make a comeback in the team for the marquee ODI tournament, the responsibility of these two bowling stalwarts will be to provide top-notch services to the Indian team.
In the previous year, Siraj exuded confidence with the ball and became the highest-wicket for India in ODIs, claiming 24 wickets in 15 matches at an economy of 4.62. Continuing his form this year, the pace bowler has clinched 19 wickets in eight ODIs at an economy of 4.61. During the West Indies tour, he will look to lead India’s pace attack from the front and win games for the team.
Siraj, who toured the West Indies for the first time the previous year, had taken four wickets in three matches at an economy of 5.08. This year, he will look to show his fierce side to the Windies team and move ahead for the humongous ODI events such as Asia Cup 2023 and World Cup 2023.
