Sunil Narine is a huge name in the T20 format due to his incredible bowling skills. In 2012, he made his international debut for the West Indies against Australia, but his talent attracted the eyes in the fifth edition of IPL. Playing his debut league season for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), he wreaked havoc on batters with his right-arm off-break spin bowling.

Clinching 24 wickets in 15 matches at an economy of 5.47, he played an instrumental role in KKR’s maiden title triumph. Considering his performance in the T20 league, Cricket West Indies (CWI) gave him more chances in the West Indies T20I team. After a few months of IPL, he delivered another heroic performance with the ball.

This time, he grabbed nine wickets in seven matches of the T20 World Cup 2012 and became the joint-highest wicket-taker with Ravi Rampaul, in his team’s phenomenal success in the competition. In the cash-rich IPL, he is a humongous figure in KKR due to his excellent contributions to the team. The veteran is still active with the two-time IPL champions and in recent years, he has also contributed with his bat in critical occasions.
