Gujarat Titans made their debut in the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Under the leadership of Hardik Pandya, the Gujarat franchise played an exciting brand of cricket and scripted history by winning the IPL title in their first season itself.

Gujarat would like to put their best foot forward in the upcoming season of the T20 carnival and defend their crown. They have a power-packed squad, studded with match-winners and could go a long way in IPL 2023.

As the defending champions kick-start their campaign in the tournament opener against Chennai Super Kings on March 31, let us look at some of their players who could attract a lot of eyeballs in the marquee event.

Here are three GT Players to watch out for in IPL 2023:

3. Shivam Mavi

Shivam Mavi has been a bankable name in the Indian domestic circuit. He has featured in 36 List-A matches and picked up 59 wickets at an economy of 4.85. The 24-year-old has displayed his bowling might in the cash-rich league too and has bagged 30 wickets in 32 IPL games at an economy of 8.71.

Therefore, when Mavi’s turn arrived at the IPL 2023 auction, Gujarat Titans went hammer and tongs to rope him into their side. Eventually, GT paid a hefty sum of INR 6 crore to acquire his services. The ace pacer would be eager to deliver the goods for the Gujarat franchise and justify his price tag.

Mavi’s stocks have grown in leaps and bounds of late. Courtesy of his performances in the domestic circuit, the right-arm pacer was included in India’s set-up for the shortest format and he was quite outstanding for the Men in Blue. Shivam bagged seven scalps in six T20Is, which includes a sensational four-wicket haul in the recently culminated T20I series against Sri Lanka. He would look to play in the same vein in IPL 2023 and put up a show with the ball.
