1. Mukesh Kumar
Mukesh Kumar has been a proven performer in the Indian domestic circuit. He has brilliant record in first-class cricket, having picked 123 wickets at an average of 21.49 in 33 matches. The 29-year-old has also displayed his bowling might in the shortest format, taking 25 scalps at an economy of 7.20 in 23 matches.
Mukesh wreaked havoc in the 2021-22 season of the Ranji Trophy, bagging 20 wickets in five matches. He carried his rich vein of form in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022 and picked up nine wickets at an economy of 4.91. Courtesy of the ace pacer’s spectacular bowling displays, he even got his maiden international call-up for the ODI series against South Africa.
Mukesh’s stocks were on a meteoric rise and Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, and Punjab Kings showed interest in roping him into their teams. Eventually, DC managed to grab the Bengal pacer at a hefty sum of INR 5.5 crore.
