2. Sam Curran

Sam Curran is a proven performer in the T20 circuit. In the IPL landscape, he has featured in 32 matches and smashed 337 runs at a superb strike rate of 149.78. The 24-year-old has delivered the goods with the ball as well and picked 32 wickets in those outings.

In the international circuit, the Northampton-born has been a strike force with the ball. In the recently concluded T20I series against Australia, Curran took five wickets in two games at an economy of 7.50. The left-arm pacer has continued his rich vein of form in the ongoing T20 World Cup as he wreaked havoc against Afghanistan becoming the first England bowler to take a five-wicket haul in T20Is.

Curran has shown his versatility to bowl at any phase of the game and has especially grown his stature as a death-overs bowler. Though England does not use him much with the bat, his sensational strike rate in IPL shows his batting might. Thus, the ace all-rounder is an asset to any side and Mumbai Indians could look to draft him into their side for the next season.

Moreover, Curran was one of the draft picks of the MI Capetown team for the inaugural season of SA20 and this shows the franchise’s interest in the England all-rounder. Therefore, one might see the youngster donning the MI jersey in IPL 2023.
