IPL 2023: 3 Players RCB might pick at auction

Royal Challengers Bangalore entered the 2022 season of the Indian Premier League under the new leadership of Faf du Plessis. RCB played some exceptional cricket and looked like going all the way in the tournament. However, they failed to go past Rajasthan Royals in the second qualifier and were knocked out of the competition.

The Bangalore franchise had a lot of positives in their promising campaign. Thus, the think tank decided to retain the majority of its players ahead of the IPL 2023 auction and let go of only five players. As RCB bids to clinch their maiden IPL title in the next season, they would like to fill the vacated spots with top-quality players. 3. Joshua Little 

Joshua Little has set the international circuit ablaze with his jaw-dropping bowling displays. The 23-year-old has featured in 26 T20Is this calendar year and bagged 39 wickets at an economy of 7.58. He was quite phenomenal in the recently culminated T20 World Cup which saw him take 11 scalps in seven games at an impeccable economy of 7.00.

Little offers a complete package with the ball. He is lethal with the new ball, can play the role of middle-overs enforcer, and is simply impeccable at the fag end of the innings. Though he has yet to feature in the IPL, he is in top form and has the potential to thrive in the cash-rich league. Thus, many franchises might like to invest in him and Royal Challengers Bangalore could be one of them.

RCB does not have many death bowling options in their squad. Also, Harshal Patel, who is the team’s premier death bowler, is struggling to find his mojo in the international circuit. Therefore they would need quality reinforcements who could deliver the goods at the slog overs, and someone like Little could be a great choice. Thus, Bangalore could go all guns blazing to pick the Irish pacer at the auction.
