2. Marcus Stoinis

Australia all-rounder Marcus Stoinis is a terrific option to try at the top of the order. In the current season, the 33-year-old has scored 229 runs in nine matches at a strike rate of 144.93. Thus, along with Mayers, Stoinis can give a perfect start to LSG for the middle order batters to capitalize.

Notably, Stoinis has prior experience opening the batting in T20 cricket. He has previously opened the batting for Delhi Capitals in 2020 and overall has managed to score 117 runs in five innings at a strike rate of 127.17. He has also opened for Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League. Thus, Stoinis is a very exciting name that the team management may try at the top of the order.

Meanwhile, just like in Hooda’s case, LSG management will not have to change their foreign player combination if they stick with Stoinis. This can eventually play a part in him opening in the rest of the matches for LSG.
