The 16th season of the much-celebrated Indian Premier League successfully concluded on midnight of May 30. With a stunning victory against the champion Gujarat Titans in a rain-affected, thrilling finale, the MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings won the title for a record-equalling fifth time. Complete team effort from every player in the summit clash helped CSK clinch the title.

From some fiery knocks by Shivam Dube, Ajinkya Rahane, and Rayudu to a six and a four by Ravindra Jadeja off the game's final two balls, CSK registered a magnificent victory. There have been several spectacular performances this season, which have undoubtedly been the highlight of the tournament. 

A total of 74 matches witnessed some fantastic individual performances, especially from the finishers who played significant roles for their franchises, winning not only the matches but also the hearts of several fans. 5. Jitesh Sharma

After MS Dhoni, there’s another wicketkeeper batter whose impeccable batting performance this season gave him a spot in the list. It's none other than the Punjab Kings' hard-hitting wicketkeeper batter, Jitesh Sharma. He played 14 matches for his team, scoring 309 runs with an average of 23.77 and a strike rate of 156.06.

With remarkable consistency, he played some very crucial knocks, a memorable one coming against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium, when he scored 25 runs off just seven deliveries and four sixes. In addition, Jitesh destroyed Royal Challengers Bangalore's bowling unit when he notched up 41 runs off just 27 balls.

Despite PBKS' defeat, Jitesh grabbed eyeballs as he impressed every viewer. His hard-hitting ability had left a huge impact on not just the fans but even veteran cricketers.
