4. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)
The two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) started IPL 2022 very well by winning three of their first four games, but after the end of the round-robin stage, the team finished at the seventh position on the points table with six wins and eight losses. The inconsistent bowling performances in the 2022 edition by some of their big names cost them the season.
For the 2023 edition of the tournament, KKR would like to solidify their bowling unit by bringing Taskin in the team. Alongside well-known bowlers such as Pat Cummins, Sunil Narine, and Varun Chakravarthy, Ahmed could do wonders with his pace for the team.
In the last season, the team management believed in youngster Shivam Mavi but he couldn't do justice to the expectations. Ahead of the auction, the franchise could show interest in Taskin by releasing Mavi and Afghan cricketer Mohammad Nabi as Nabi didn't play a single game for the side.
