2. David Warner
In Rishabh Pant’s absence, David Warner is holding the reins of Delhi Capitals (DC). Under him, the 2020 runners-up are struggling in the competition as they are yet to win their first match. However, his batting numbers have been decent so far in the marquee event. With 228 runs in five games at a strike rate of 116.92, he is the third-leading run-scorer in the tournament.
Thus far, Capitals have had nothing to cheer about from this year's campaign as they are stranded at the bottom of the points table due to the failure of their key batters Prithvi Shaw, Mitchell Marsh, and Rovman Powell. In these circumstances, Warner’s batting figures have been the only respite to the DC team management, giving them a sigh of relief.
However, the Aussie came under criticism for his sluggish knock against Rajasthan Royals (RR) but noting how other batters fared, it could be said that the franchise is helpless is left with no other option but to expect their skipper to improve his strike rate to help DC win the remaining games.
