2. Mohammad Nabi
Despite signing for Kolkata Knight Riders in the last season, the veteran all-rounder didn’t get a single opportunity to represent the franchise. Now, after a very poor season in international cricket, Nabi showed a few glimpses of his class in the T20 World Cup but even so, couldn’t help his team qualify for the semi-finals of the competition.
In 104 T20Is he played, Nabi scored 1686 runs at a strike rate of 140.03. Even with the ball, Nabi has been sensational, picking 84 wickets, at an economy of 7.31. Even though there are multiple options available, teams may still run after the 37-year-old because of the impact he can create. Slotting in at number seven, the Afghanistan-born cricketer can take on any bowler and create a significant difference.
However, his fitness is a matter of concern. The all-rounder is really slow on the field and the format demands fitter players. Nonetheless, his skills set are still sharp and can make a difference.
