2. Andrew Tye
Andrew Tye has been a prominent figure in the T20 circuit. He has featured in 195 matches in the shortest format and taken a staggering 274 wickets at an economy of 8.11. Renowned to be a death-overs specialist, he can play handy knocks lower down the order too and strikes at the rate of 122.44.
Lucknow Super Giants broght Tye in as a replacement for an injured Mark Wood. The Australian pacer started for KL Rahul & Co. in three games but was not able to deliver the goods with the ball. In those outings, he could take just two wickets and leaked runs at an alarming rate of 9.73.
The 35-year-old was dropped from the team following the mediocre showings and was not picked again. LSG already have quality seamers like Dushmantha Chameera and Jason Holder in their ranks and with Wood expected to play the next season, Tye might not be retained going forward. Thus, one can expect the veteran bowler to be released in near future.
