2. Andrew Tye

Mark Wood got ruled out of the entire 2022 season of the IPL due to an elbow injury. Lucknow decided to fill the Wood void with Andrew Tye. The Australian quick has been a giant of a player in the shortest format of the game and has taken 274 wickets in 195 matches at an economy of 8.11.

LSG would have hoped that the 35-year-old will bring all his experience into play. However, Tye failed to rise to the occasion and took just two wickets in three games conceding runs at an alarming rate of 9.73. He was sidelined after the poor displays and was not picked again.

The veteran pacer being not given another run could indicate that the think tank might have moved past Tye. Moreover, Wood breathed fire with the ball in the T20I series against Pakistan and then in Australia. So, Lucknow might retain him for the next season and, on the other hand, the Australian seamer’s exit could be a high possibility.
