1. Shreyas Gopal
Shreyas Gopal has been an epitome of reliance for Karnataka in the Indian domestic circuit. The 29-year-old leg spinner has represented Karnataka in 57 List-A games and bagged 89 wickets at an impressive economy of 5.12.
With over seven seasons of IPL experience, he could be a potential option as Jasprit Bumrah’s replacement in Mumbai Indians as their spin department lacks experience depth. The spinner could not get much game time in the last two editions of the Indian Premier League, playing just four games overall, picking up one wicket. Though the numbers don’t do justice, Shreyas Gopal could be a potential game-changer with Kumar Karthikeya bowling in tandem in the middle overs.
The Bangalore-born cricketer was a part of the IPL 2023 auctions but unfortunately went unsold. In the T20 circuit, Gopal could be an asset to any side with his all-round abilities as he is promising with the bat and could fire lusty blows during the death overs.
