IPL 2023: 5 Players who earned more than 5 crores at mega auction 2022 but might go for their base price in December
Sunrisers Hyderabad with INR 42.25 crores have the heaviest purse going into the IPL mini-auction.
4. Jason Holder
The incredibly talented Jason Holder was sold for INR 8.75 crores at the IPL mega auction 2022. However, the all-rounder couldn’t justify his price tag for Lucknow Super Giants and was released ahead of the mini-auction.
The 31-year-old played 12 matches for Lucknow in the 2022 season and picked up 14 wickets at an economy rate of 9.42. He completely failed in the batting department and thus, the LSG management decided to release him to free up some bucks.
Now, with the likes of Ben Stokes, Cameron Green, Sikandar Raza among others about to feature at the auction, Jason Holder will go down in the pecking order. This may result in him getting sold for his base price at the upcoming auction.
