IPL 2023: 5 Players who earned more than 5 crores at mega auction 2022 but might go for their base price in December
Sunrisers Hyderabad with INR 42.25 crores have the heaviest purse going into the IPL mini-auction.
2. Shivam Mavi
The KKR management has backed Shivam Mavi throughout his IPL career and even bought him for INR 7.25 crores at the mega-auction 2022. However, Mavi couldn’t prove himself and KKR decided to release the player ahead of the mini-auction.
In six matches that the 2018 U19 World Cup winner played for Kolkata in the last season, Mavi managed to pick only five wickets at an economy rate of 10.32. He has completely failed to impress in the cash-rich league. In 32 matches so far, the 23-year-old has managed to pick only 30 wickets at an economy rate of 8.71.
His consistency too has been a matter of discussion in the domestic circuit. To add to that, his figures in the IPL will definitely not invite a lot of money his way. Thus, he remains to be someone who’s likely to get sold for his base price.
