4. Manish Pandey
Lucknow Super Giants picked Manish Pandey for the 2022 season of the Indian Premier League to strengthen their middle order. However, the Indian batter failed to deliver the goods with the bat. In six appearances for the Lucknow side, the 33-year-old could only score 88 runs at a strike rate of 110.00
Given Manish failed to perform as per his standards, the Lucknow franchise decided against retaining him for the next edition. Thus, the Nainital-born will go under the hammer at the IPL 2023 auction. Interestingly, the right-handed batter has kept himself in the INR 1 crore bracket for the marquee event.
Manish has been a run-bank in the lucrative T20 tournament and aggregated 3648 runs in 160 matches at a strike rate of 121.52. The elegant batter is an experienced campaigner and his addition provides stability to the batting line-up. Thus, many franchises could be eager to sign him at the forthcoming auction.
At the 2022 mega auction too, apart from LSG, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals raised their paddles for signing him and it was Lucknow who eventually grabbed him for INR 4.60 crore. Therefore, with the Indian batter expected to be in high demand at the forthcoming auction, he could have easily kept his base price a bit higher.
