2. Kyle Jamieson
Kyle Jamieson has been a proven performer in the international circuit. Test cricket has been his strongest suit as the 27-year-old has wreaked havoc with the ball and bagged 72 scalps in just 16 matches at an average of 19.45. Also, he has been a vital contributor with the bat and scored 372 runs at an average of 19.57 in those outings.
The bowling all-rounder has fared well in ODIs too, picking up 11 wickets in eight games and striking at 109.67 with the bat. Courtesy of Jamieson’s jaw-dropping performances for New Zealand, he was the hot property during the IPL 2021 player auction, and franchises went to a bidding war to sign the Auckland-born. Finally, it was Royal Challengers Bangalore that signed him for an insane amount of INR 15 crore.
However, the Kiwi pacer was not able to justify his price tag and took nine scalps in as many games conceding runs at an economy of 9.60. On the batting front, Jamieson scored 65 runs in three games at a strike rate of 118.18.
After skipping IPL 2022 because of bio-bubble fatigue, the Kiwi all-rounder will feature in the upcoming player auction and has kept his base price at INR 1 crore. Though Jamieson's stocks in world cricket have not been soaring as high as they were in 2021, the 27-year-old is still an asset to any side due to his all-round prowess and many franchises might bid for him at the IPL 2023 auction. Therefore, the ace pacer could have elevated his base price to at least INR 1.5 crore for the forthcoming auction.
