Rajasthan Royals (RR) picked a well-rounded squad at the 2022 mega auction with a nice blend of youth and experience. They reaped dividends of the same and reached the finals of the cash-rich league. Unfortunately, RR lost to Gujarat Titans in the summit clash and had to contend with the runners-up position.
With an eye on clinching their second IPL crown in the 16th edition, the Rajasthan franchise parted ways with nine cricketers and filled the void in the team with other top-quality players. RR are a well-oiled unit studded with proven performers of the T20 circuit. However, not everyone might get a chance to show their skills in the forthcoming season.
Here are five RR Players who might be benched throughout the 2023 season
5. Kuldip Yadav
Kuldip Yadav is an exciting left-arm seamer from the Delhi cricketing circles. The 26-year-old has the ability to move the ball both ways and also has a lethal bouncer up his sleeve to trouble the batters. He has been associated with Rajasthan Royals since IPL 2021.
However, in his two seasons with the Rajasthan side, Kuldip got just one opportunity where he conceded 16 runs in two overs. However, the team management have stuck with him for the upcoming season but the Delhi-pacer again is not likely to find a place in the playing XI.
RR have quality Indian pacers such as Prasidh Krishna, Kuldeep Sen, and Navdeep Saini, who have proven their mettle in the IPL arena time and time again. So, they are likely to be higher in the pecking order and therefore, Kuldip might not get a game in the upcoming season.
