5. David Miller

David Miller was acquired by the Titans at INR 3 crore at the 2022 mega auction. In the team, the Protea batter was given the responsibility to vitalize the batting order with his vast experience and skills. Racking up 481 runs in 16 matches, at a stellar strike rate of 142.72, he made a huge contribution to the team’s title triumph.

In the playoff match against Rajasthan Royals (RR), he donned the role of a finisher with his fierce knock of 68 runs off 38 balls. With 16 runs required in the last over of the match, Miller came hard on Prasidh Krishna hitting him for three maximums to finish the game with three balls remaining. The veteran with this knock helped the team to qualify for the final of the competition. 

Earlier, in the group stage too, the southpaw looked impressive with the bat. Against defending champions CSK, he supported his team to thrash Yellow Army by three wickets with his solid knock of 94 runs off just 51 balls. In the next edition, the stylish left-hander will be a prime batter for Gujarat again to defend the title.
