7. Sam Curran
For Sam Curran, 2022 was the best year of his career as he became the Player of the Tournament in the T20 World Cup 2022. The English all-rounder picked up 13 wickets in six matches at a brilliant economy of 6.52. In the recently held IPL mini-auction, his hard work paid off as he became the most expensive player in the history of the league by getting signed at INR 18.5 crore.
After four years, he will return to the franchise again after playing for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in 2020 and 2021. Last year, he stayed away from the tournament due to rehabilitation from a back injury. This time, he will make his comeback special by delivering some great figures to his team with both bat and ball.
The 24-year-old has delivered some match-winning moments to PBKS and CSK, but talking about his overall performance, he has taken 32 wickets in 32 matches at a high economy of 9.21. This season, he will look to improve his figures by doing wonders with the ball in the upcoming season.
