3. Mitchell Marsh (Delhi Capitals)
After a horrible start to the season, Delhi Capitals have managed to make a decent comeback. Even though their chances to qualify for the playoffs have been a long-lost dream following their last defeat against Punjab Kings, they did manage to put up some respectable performances in the league. The star for them has been Mitchell Marsh, who has contributed to every aspect of the game.
During their first game of the week against Royal Challengers Bangalore, Mitchell Marsh picked up two wickets by giving away just 21 runs. During his spell, he managed to pick up the crucial wickets of Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell. This helped Capitals to put a break on the run rate as well.
While the crowd was treated to a Phil Salt special, Marsh did contribute to the chase as he scored 26 runs from 17 balls. This was a crucial contribution as he ensured that there was no batting collapse after the wicket of David Warner. Unfortunately, Marsh was run out during the game against Chennai Super Kings but was able to pick up three wickets in his three overs, giving away just 18 runs in his spell.
